WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Understanding architecture is a powerful tool for developing credible environments and compelling stories. During this classe we will learn how to extract and analyze the fundamental building blocks of complex architectural environments.
We will learn to simplify complex designs to help us better understand form, proportion and the gestural arrangement of key elements.
We will cover fundamental compositional as well as graphic principals that are helpful for capturing environments on the page.
By studying particular buildings throughout Paris we will also develop an understanding of the characteristics that define various Medieval styles, as well as Classical and Baroque styles of Architecture.

PRE-REQUISITE
Have a solid foundation in drawing.
REQUESTED MATERIAL
* 2B,4B, and 6B pencils
* large Koh-I-Noor pencil or other similar size
* Muji .38 .5 .7 or Bic pens (optionnal)
* sketchbook for study and research (7 x 10 inches or smaller)
* notepad for outdoor drawing (A3 or larger)
* notebook for taking notes (recommended)
THE TEACHER

Gabriel Yeganyan is a freelance concept artist currently working for Lucasfilm on their live-action Star Wars projects.
Gabriel has previously worked for Respawn Entertainment on “Jedi: Fallen Order”, Section Studios, Riot Games, Infinity Ward, Sony Santa Monica and HBO.
He also teaches at Concept Design Academy in Los Angeles.
