2D Animation Introduction.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Come discover 2D Animation during these 15 courses with Benoît Bargeton.
You will study the 3 stages of animation drawing (rough, tie down, clean) as well as its main principles (timing/spacing, follow through/drag/overlap),… You will also study different types of body mechanics (bipeds, quadruped) as well as, a very important part of animation, acting.
Theory, demonstrations and exercises will punctuate the different courses of Benoît Bargeton.

* 1 Boom Arm (to take photos of the drawings with your phone and then edit them to see the animation)
* 1 Cole Erase pencil (rather dark)
* 1 Critérium Bic mechanical pencil, 2mm tip

THE TEACHER

During his Animation film studies, Benoit Bargeton directed his first short film, « Ex-E.T. »,which won the Jury award at the Annecy Animation Festival. He then pursued his career as a character animator on feature films such as, « Despicable Me », « The Secret Life of Pets », « Gravity », and « Ted ».
After seven years spent in fantastic universes, here turned to his first love, directing, with two short films using real, live actors, « Beauty Building » (2016), and « Snapped » (2017), both awarded in international festivals.
When not directing he loves to give classes on acting at GOBELINS school.
