19th CENTURY ACADEMIC DRAWING ● RAMÓN HURTADO

Come and learn how to draw the human figure.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Come and study the drawing of the human figure with Ramón Hurtado during a 2-week intensive course in Paris.
The aim of the course is to learn how to draw the figure as a whole, where all the elements work together, rather than as separate parts. We’ll pay particular attention to the movement, character and construction of the human figure, and learn how to add relevant details, without destroying the sense of unity in our work.
We’ll see how to measure, how to think in 3D, how to use anatomy, how to plan values and how to use accents, both in long and short pose drawings, using line, tone or both.
We’ll start by drawing plaster busts at school, then full figures at the Louvre*. We’ll also work with live models, with poses ranging from 2 to 8 hours.

(* museum entrance fees are not included in the registration fee)
