WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
During this 10-day intensive workshop with Kevin Chen, you will learn how to create characters that meet specific criteria (design, storytelling, etc.).
This course focuses on the techniques and skills needed to create characters.
Topics such as gestures, body language, expressions, simple shapes, perspective shots, staging, and characters in their environment will be covered.
This is an essential course for students interested in storyboarding, character design, animation, or illustration.

THE TEACHER
Kevin Chen, born in Taipei (Taiwan), is a concept artist working in the animation, video game and film industries. He graduated from the Art Center College of Design (BFA in illustration) and has worked for various studios on projects such as “The Hunchback of Notre-Dame”, “Call of Duty”, “Suckerpunch”, “Men in Black 3”, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 & 2”,…
Kevin Chen is also the founder of the Concept Design Academy in Pasadena, California. He teaches human figure drawing and character design.
