Students will learn basic structure, quick methods for establishing proportions, body mechanics, the ability to see the body as a series of simple shapes forming the human figure.<br>They will also acquire a working knowledge of costume model drawing, the use of line, mass and form, and an understanding of costume in theater, film and animation (as well as in everyday life).<br>This course is particularly suited to those interested in animation or figurative painting, as it focuses on a classical, structural (volumetric) approach to the live model. It teaches students to draw both imaginatively and from life.<br><br>Students will also receive supplementary materials to help them continue their learning once the course is over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>LEVEL<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-background\" style=\"color:#3b6b6a;background-color:#ece8db\"><strong>Fundamentals<\/strong> \u25cf <em>Intermediate<\/em> \u25cf <em>Advanced<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>PRE-REQUISITE<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-background\" style=\"color:#3b6b6a;background-color:#ece8db\">All that&#8217;s required is a general knowledge of and interest in art.<br>Will Weston&#8217;s workshops are aimed at both beginners and experienced artists, amateurs and professionals alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>REQUESTED MATERIAL<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-background\" style=\"color:#3b6b6a;background-color:#ece8db\">Students may use any drawing materials they wish, but Will Weston strongly recommends the following:<br>* 1 A4 spiral-bound sketchbook with smooth paper and hard spine. Better still, a sketchbook with marker paper provides an optimal drawing surface.<br>* 1 drawing board to support the notebook<br>* black Prismacolor pencils. Faber-Castell Polychromos and Progresso pencils are also excellent, and Will Weston uses both.
